Class Descriptions

Rain is constantly developing the most innovative classes around — Boxing, Outdoor Bootcamp, and Booty Call, just to name a few. Try a class soon. You'll appreciate our unconventional approach to group fitness.

A-TONE-ment
A class that delivers real results, real fast! This workout uses barbells with adjustable weights to work every major muscle in the body. Get toned and strong like never before. All fitness levels welcome.

Abs-olution
The perfect 15 minute solution to get your abs in the best shape ever! This class will focus on effective exercises to tone your mid-section.

Ashtanga Yoga
A classical form of hatha yoga that creates a potent awareness of natural alignment and energy through the practice of vinyasa--flowing into and out of the postures on specific exhalations/inhalations that continue in an unceasing wave. By focusing on breath as the fuse than heats and moves the body, the mind is brought into the present and discovers flexibility and strength hiding beneath blocks of tension and inattention. The student gradually dissolves these barriers and awakens to the energy channels that flow within, allowing experience of the body as a fluid, powerful organic whole.

Beach Body Workout (Seasonal)
Get ready for summer with a class geared toward working the key body parts that you will be showing off on the beach. Focus on arms, butt and having a tight tummy.

Booty Call
You have a duty to your booty to do this 30 minute workout. It will train, tone, and tighten your best ass-ets.

Cardio Hip-Hop
A fun, high energy dance workout that will lead you through club-worthy moves in the style of hip-hop.

Cardio Sculpt
A great mix of strength using all types of equipment intermixed with bursts of cardio conditioning. A total body workout!

Chisel
This class is designed to help chisel your body, with a major emphasis on strength training using secondary items such as dumbbells, barbells, benches, Bosu’s and your own body weight. This class is adaptable for everyone.

Cycle
Indoor cycling is one of the best conditioning tools for overall body fat reduction, improved cardiovascular health and sculpting glutes, thighs and abs. By combining music, timed intervals and resistance to vary your workout, cycling can be intensified to meet your fitness needs. Cycling will make you sweat, burn over 400 calories and feel invigorated

Cycle Ride
A 60-minute indoor cycling class for all fitness levels. Join your instructor on different courses, hills, sprints and intervals. Experience the excitement and fun that is still going strong!

Cycle/Circuit
Segments of cycling mixed with conditioning exercises using weights off the bike. This is an amazing metabolism builder. You burn fat and tone your body in one great workout!

Cycle/Strength
An intense combination of cardio using the bikes followed by resistance and core training!

Extreme Sculpt
An intense total body workout that focuses on light weights and high repetitions using the Bosu, exer-tubes, and weights. Increase your strength and improve your definition while working on your muscular endurance.

Flow Yoga
The benefits of yoga include improved posture, circulation, breathing and flexibility. Yoga is intended primarily to restore and maintain a practitioner’s well-being, improve the body’s flexibility and vitality. Regular yoga practice can lead to increased strength, stress relief, and enhanced self-awareness. This class is open to all members and all levels of fitness.

Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is what we traditionally think of as yoga; the focus is on asana, the physical postures. This class contains elements of vinyasa (flow) to help create heat in the body and seamlessly weaves in postures designed to open and balance the energy centers of the chakras. You will leave feeling energized and balanced. All are welcome to come!

Kickboxing
This ultimate cardiovascular challenge, complete with a sport specific warm up, bouts of intense intervals, easy to follow combinations, kickboxing specific strength/endurance training and cool-down. Techniques, movement patterns and combinations are specific to the ancient sport of Muay Thai Boxing.

Pilates Mat
Developed by Joseph Pilates, this method of training emphasizes blending strength and flexibility. This synthesis results in improved posture, stress reduction and the creation of long, lean muscles. The “core” or “powerhouse,” (the abdominals, back and pelvic girdle) is a focal point of this type of training, as all movements originate in this area of the body. The quality of movements are emphasized, rather than number of repetitions or amount of resistance used. 

Pump & Grind
The strength and core class is designed to isolate muscles by chiseling, sculpting, and smoothing the body for a strong figure. Every class will keep your heart rate fluctuating between the fat-burning and cardio zones, and will utilize a variety of techniques ranging from barbell, dumbbell, resistance band, bosu, step, Pilates, calisthenics, and yoga-inspired workouts.

Rainstorm Boxing
Get lean and mean! This high performance workout is formed from true boxing training camp routines. Learn basic boxing technique and conditioning drills to increase strength, endurance and coordination. Sculpt your body by mastering the jab, power punch and other combinations. This challenging class also incorporates heavy bag drills, focus mitts and jump rope techniques, all done to high-energy music soundtracks.

Rock-n-Ride
This class is the ultimate in rock-n-roll as well as cycling. This class will help push your endurance while enjoying the best in rock-n-roll.

Super Sculpt
Use of barbell, dumbbell and tubing to get the best strength conditioning results.

Sweatshop
An intense total body workout, that incorporates a variety of cardio activities as well as strength training. The class includes various calisthenics, dumbbells, jump rope, cycle, kickboxing, Bosu’s and more… It is designed to help tone and condition all individuals.

Turbo Kick
This class is the hottest cardio kickboxing class around for fitness training.  Turbo Kick is a fusion of hip hop and kickboxing. It is the ultimate cardiovascular challenge complete with a sport specific warm-up, bouts of intense intervals, easy to follow combinations, kickboxing specific strength/endurance training and a Tai-Chi like cool-down.

Ultimate Training
This is the ultimate in intensity. This “next level” workout is adaptable to everyone. Muscular endurance exercises, sport specific training and drills will challenge you and help you get to the next level. This class is not for the faint of heart.

Urban Boot Camp (Intermediate/Advanced; Seasonal)
Looking for a challenge? This class incorporates cardio and strength training in a fun outdoor group environment. A typical class includes resistance running, stair or hill climbing, plyometrics, push-ups, and core conditioning.

Yoga Mix
A blend of various yoga practice components, including basic yoga postures, dynamic flow, balance and relaxation. This is a great energetic workout, recommended for all levels.

Zumba
This class fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow dance moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away.  Zumba Fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements!
